Brett Adair and Katelyn
| Hello everyone. I am Brett Adair, an 18 year old senior at Sylacauga High
School pending graduation in 27 days. In the photo above, is my darling
girlfriend Katelyn Holt of Hoover, Alabama. She is easily the love of my
life and my drive and motivation to carry on each day. I am an Advnaced
SKYWARN Storm Spotter, a USA-Weather.net Forecaster in Charge, Severe Weather
Specialist, Nowcaster, and Tropical Storm Analyst. I have founded C.A.S.T.
(The Central Alabama Storm Trackers) in the fall of 2003 and we chase all
over the the area. I coordinate with much of the local media from ABC33/40,
FOX6, CBS42 down to the local EMA, NWS, and HAM Operators. Atmospheric sciences
has been my passion since birth. My father was sucked out of the back door
as our home was destroyed by an F-2 in the winter of 1989. He survived and
was saved by a pine tree 20' from our home. I will resume my education at
Mississippi State University in the fall of 2004 after I volunteer at the
National Weather Service in Calera, AL over this summer. I will major in
the BMP (Broadcast Meteorology Program) and minor in photo journalism. I
hope to be back in Birminaham working at a local media outlet by 2006. I
will be attempting to walk on as a pitcher for the Bulldogs as well. So
wish me luck.....the SEC is a comptetitve conference. After college I plan
to come back and marry the one that I love and start a family. Look for
me in the future if you live in the Birmingham area.....and if you dont
find me there...I'll be at the SPC in Norman. |
