I came across Storm2K over a year ago, not expecting anything interesting to come from my google.com search of "weather boards." Thirteen months and nearly two thousand posts later, I find myself laughing at that moment. Never in my life had I considered the possibility that there were folks out there who were just as captivated by the weather as I was!
Arriving here just before the 2004 hurricane season really got going, I was astonished to find everyone examining the latest convection of thunderstorms off of the African coast. I remember thinking to myself, "But that part of the season doesn't begin until much later..." It was around this time that I realized everyone here was just like me; they enjoyed discussing the weather.
As one of the younger members (age seventeen) of Storm2K, I feel accepted. This is quite possibly the most outstanding quality of S2K members; they're accepting of everyone! It's irrelevant that I'm a quarter the age... I mean... half the age of everyone here.
