Just nothing to really comment about. Awaiting the trends to change in our favor...

The 00z GFS starts the precipitation right at DFW but south of the 540 line. If the cold could just come a little sooner or the precipitation a little later, it would be a money event for most of the east half of Texas. Things can still change and if it lines up more like the CMC has been, it’s super possible.

My home just NW of Tyler looks as good as any for snow on Wed on the NW edge of the good QPF and per Euro ensembles also a good chance for the cold air to arrive in time. Accounts look light here 1 or 2 inches but almost all members have snow here.

0z CMC looking better, still plenty of time to trend in DFW's favor.

Which part? It didn’t seem to have much other than a random snow blob a bunch of days out

Look at our source region (sw Canada). It’s loaded with potential. Now that’s the first time I’ve really seen that on the models since all this hype started. It’s in the perfect spot to deliver some true cold air towards us.

Also, this doesn’t look bad at all. It’s 10 days out, but it’s still nice that the models are showing this at least giving us still a glimmer of hope. This setup could deliver the goods!

the 0z Euro still offers hope for a little snow Wednesday morning from DFW down to Austin and over towards Tyler before it fades away, maybe a quick dusting in spots

Another thing I noticed on the FV3. Beginning this Wednesday, the 23rd, the 0z FV3 has temps staying below 60 degrees for most areas of southeast Texas for the remainder of the run with a few days in the 20’s and 30’s. So that’s from January 23rd to February 5th with temps not reaching 60 degrees for my area. Now I would definitely call that a pretty significant cold blast if that verifies. If those temps verified for that length of time, there’s bound to be some snow somewhere in Texas and probably more than a dusting as well!

Looks like more of the same. Glancing blows of cold air, no appreciable precipitation.

Not really on the FV3. It shows a favorable setup for deep cold and precipitation as well.
