First, did you play your games? Second, did you win? Third, you know it has snowed in March in Houston. Crazier things have happened...

Good thing we can't trust the long-range models. ;-)

I've seen several good snows in March over the years I've lived here. Including 5-inches on March 21, 2010 a few years ago. If false spring is disappearing as Ntxw mentioned, then who knows? :D

Yes, those are so much fun! Just like a tropical storm, except the "rain" is dust.

And then if it really rains after, everything has West Texas dust all over it.

We're driving down to San Antonio again next week, time to get this winter nonsense over with! Just received 6 inches from this storm that stretched from Texas to New England. Crazy. :)

Euro says 70's in San Antonio by the end of next week, I'll take that forecast. Good thing the GFS is horrendous in the long range.

Do the Riverwalk. You will be glad you did.

I'm thinking that all the cold air up in Canada should have drained out by now...

Thanks. We have no choice but to walk it every day. San Antonio is a beautiful city, and this is our second trip down for a robotics competition. Last time we stayed a block from the convention center, this time we're a little over a mile away via the river walk. I'm really looking forward to it.

Is that your meteorological opinion or from your heart? You know young sir, you will get your 95 degree days. I know it. You know it. LOL. You will get your 150 mile a week bike rides too. :)

Yes, yes, and i have heard! Growing up though was a tough stretch for SE Tx Winter fans. It snowed and iced one time each iirc. The snow didnt stick either. Its an unbelievable turnaround we have had since going back to 2008. Very interesting. Dallas snow this morning is quite impressive. I think the big GOA low ruined a potential epic winter. MJO to blame maybe?

Like others, im basically ready for spring, i think winter weather here any later is a lost cause. We busted big time on temps here this am. Its 43 right now. Hoping we can continue to get lots of rain before going into the summer.

Nice satellite shot showing all the snow in Texas this morning. Portastorm shouldn't have to drive too far north of Austin to see snow in the ground.

Here's a satellite with Texas counties identified. I indicated what looks like the edge of the snow with a white dashed line. Not too far north of you, Portastorm!

And of course. for those scoring in Austin, he took great pains to show you "just" how close the snow is to you..LOL

Not my intention at all. He can drive a short ways up 35 and see some snow today.

The forecast got my temperature pretty much dead on this morning. Forecasted at 19 it was 18. Suppose to warm up to 37 today and be 19 again tonight. I guess we will see if it gets that warm today.
