Yeah, and sometimes it gets cooler even without a cold front but there has to be special conditions, for example, early this week the minimum temps dropped in most of the countries but there was no cold front, and the only surface feature was a weak high over the region but it produced a clear night with no wind and I guess that helped to get cooler temps. The observations:

The minimum temeprature registered in San Jose on February 23 was the 2nd coldest temp for this month in that city. In Irazu volcano a low of 3.1°C (37.6°F) was registered on February 21.
Thanks for your comments 29 palms! Yeah it's nice to have a break from the warm days. Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Belize are the countries that are affected the most by cold fronts, sometimes the cold fronts did not reach that far but the high pressure behind them does and brings cooler temps to the region including Nicaragua and Costa Rica in some occasions. And I have never been in Manila but I have read about its climate and it's similar to the Central American countries with the hottest months in spring instead of summer, it's very interesting to learn about (and in your case experience) the climate and weather around the world.
