It's sleeting hard here now, and when you walk you can hear a crunch. A few degrees colder, we may have snow.

Agree, but like I said a little while ago, temps at around H85, around 4,000'-5,000' above the surface, have to fall below freezing so that snow forms.

That's not all making it to the ground. Not too many reports of actual snow. Lots of sleet here in Orlando, but now its turned to rain. Temp continues to fall though. My home weather station is now showing 34, has fallen 3 degrees in 2 hours. On normal days it'd be bouncing back up by now.

Just stepped outside (8:45) here in Palm Harbor (Northern Pinellas) and there are some very small ice pellets mixed in with the rain. Home weather station says the temp is 38.

bgator is currently in Orlando, not Miami, he should change his settings because is confusing a lot of people.

FrankFortLauderdale wrote:Morning All! I just signed up. I live in Fort Lauderdale, and I am watching to see if and how far south the snow might go. If it it looks like it will go as far south as Okeechobee, I will take my children to see it. Any thoughts?
Temps across the Lake O region will probably be just warm enough to only allow rain. I'd say the chances are fairly low at this point and not worth the drive from FTL in these types of conditions!
Note the I-4 corridor with temps in the 33-35 range. Snow flurries a possibility in this area.
