Looks like the rain will go away before sleet returns here. :| It was good while it lasted.

Amazing how quickly evaporational cooling works when precip reaches the surface, now I am down to 33 degrees.

It's sleeting hard here now, and when you walk you can hear a crunch. A few degrees colder, we may have snow.

Agree, but like I said a little while ago, temps at around H85, around 4,000'-5,000' above the surface, have to fall below freezing so that snow forms.

Was sleeting pretty good before, now back to light drizzle. Amazing though.

Impressive radar.Someone from Northern Florida can confirm if some light snow is falling in that area?

Mostly light rain now, very little sleet. Aparently up further north in Ocala where H85 fell below 32 degs they did get some snow before precip ended a few minutes ago.

That's not all making it to the ground. Not too many reports of actual snow. Lots of sleet here in Orlando, but now its turned to rain. Temp continues to fall though. My home weather station is now showing 34, has fallen 3 degrees in 2 hours. On normal days it'd be bouncing back up by now.

I keep saying that that the temp at Orlando's Int'l is off, is now repoting 30 degrees, I am 33 degrees, and I am always a degree or two colder than the airport.
If it was 30 degrees roads would had been freezing rain as it is still light raining out there.

Just stepped outside (8:45) here in Palm Harbor (Northern Pinellas) and there are some very small ice pellets mixed in with the rain. Home weather station says the temp is 38.

Just spoke with someone in Palm Harbor (just north of Clearwater) and no ice pellets, just rain but they were not outside to really know for sure.

Precip still falling, not drying up just yet, so I am still hopefull to see a flake or two as precip ends in a little while.

Sounding at 12z near Cape Canaveral showed the warm layer above up in the atmosphere.

Morning All! I just signed up. I live in Fort Lauderdale, and I am watching to see if and how far south the snow might go. If it it looks like it will go as far south as Okeechobee, I will take my children to see it. Any thoughts? :cold:

Temps across the Lake O region will probably be just warm enough to only allow rain. I'd say the chances are fairly low at this point and not worth the drive from FTL in these types of conditions! :)

Note the I-4 corridor with temps in the 33-35 range. Snow flurries a possibility in this area.

Miami reporting now 45 degrees and with the rain and clouds staying most of the day looks like it will stay in the 40s all day, that would have to be some kind of record daytime low max event for S FL!
