To be honest DEL...................Nothing at all jumps into my head and as you have seen by my stories here i remember most of the bigger events..................Which means it was uneventfull.........................Not much snow to speak of......................Had a few rotten winters in the very early 90s and of course imo the worse beeing 97/98......................Only year in my life when i didnt see a single flake of snow.........BTW spent a part of that winter in VA Beach....................Pretty sure though Delaware didnt see much if any snow that rotten winter....................

Not much you can say about 91-92.....I believe Dover was about 4 degrees above normal all three months and there was a total of leass than 2" of snow for the three months....

DelStormLover,

Winter 1991-92 was an unremarkable winter on the Delmarva with no major snowstorms (4" or more) and much below normal snowfall. From December 1991 through February 1992, Delaware's mean temperature came to 38.3 degrees, which is above the seasonal norm. These three months saw normal precipitation with an 8.99" statewide average. December 1991 and January 1992 saw above normal precipitation while February 1992 saw much below normal precipitation.

The following data are for Wilmington, DE:

Monthly Mean Temperatures:
December: 39.5
January: 35.2
February: 37.2

Monthly Precipitation:
December: 4.26"
January: 4.30"
February: 0.97"

Snowfall:
November: Trace
December: 0.2"
January: 1.5"
February: 1.3"
March: 0.5"
April: Trace

Total: 3.5"

Up in New York City, snowfall was also well below normal at 12.6". 9.4" fell in March, all in two storms: 5.9" on March 18 and 3.5" on March 22. Overall, it was not an exciting winter.

That winter sucked. My first year out of high school and not much to make me happy weatherwise. Those late season events didn't come together in most of DE as the precipt was late making it in and so there was light snow all day, then rain as it became heavier!
