Freeze warnings?

#1 Postby frigidice77 » Wed Dec 01, 2010 7:25 pm

Why do they continuosly issue freeze and hard freeze warnings in northern florida and southern georgia and extreme south south carolina? Got one 4 tonight and tomorrow. The north only gets one a year.

Most NWS's only issue freeze watches/warnings and hard freeze watches/warnings for a certain period of time. The purpose of all freeze advisories is for plants and vegetation in most cases. Once certain plants have frozen once, they may die. If they die, there is no reason to post another advisory of the same kind again.
