BTW, the Old Farmer's Almanac for the Southeast Region (Southern VA to Georgia) calls for a snowstorm in the north and rain to snow in the south, turning very cold for January 18 - 25. We'll see.

I knew I wasn't the only one who saw that.

Snip from the 648 AM CST TUE JAN 18 2011 MSP AFD

EXTENDED...WHAT COULD BE THE COLDEST MORNING OF THE YEAR SO FAR IS
TAKING SHAPE ON FRIDAY MORNING. 850MB TEMPERATURES COLDER THAN
-20C DROP DOWN ACROSS THE FORECAST AREA...AND SURFACE RIDGE
SHOULD BE CLOSE BY. CLOUD COVER WILL HAVE THE FINAL SAY IN HOW COLD
WE ACTUALLY GET...BUT SEEMS -15F SHOULD BE NO PROBLEM WITH CLEAR
SKIES. IF WE FULLY DECOUPLE...-30F IS NOT OUT OF THE QUESTION...AS
INDICATED BY THE 2M TEMPS OFF THE 18.00Z GFS WHICH HAS -30F TO
-35F IN MN. CLOUDS SHOULD BE ON THE INCREASE AS WE HEAD THROUGHOUT
THE DAY ON FRIDAY. THE FORECAST HAS CHANCE POPS FOR WEAK SURFACE
WAVE MOVING THROUGH...ANOTHER MINOR SNOW ACCUMULATION IS POSSIBLE.
DON`T SEE A SIGNIFICANT PATTERN CHANGE IN THE NEXT 7-10 DAYS. THE
FORECAST AREA SAW AT LEAST SOME SNOW IN 60-70% OF THE DAYS IN
DECEMBER AND ALL BUT A COUPLE DAYS IN JANUARY HAVE BROUGHT SNOW.
DECEMBER WAS A FEW DEGREES BELOW CLIMATE NORMALS...AND JANUARY IS
ALSO RUNNING A LITTLE COOLER THAN NORMAL. THIS TREND LOOKS TO
CONTINUE AS WE NEAR THE END OF JANUARY.

Funny....it's what my Mom used to say (not in the 'exact' words though).......................from the MSP 3:46 PM CST WED - JAN 19 2011 issued Wind Chill Advisory...........

"IF YOU MUST VENTURE OUTDOORS...MAKE SURE YOU WEAR A HAT AND GLOVES."

I do think this is the first time that this new, experimental 'Product' has been issued.

And I do believe you are correct. They just announced they were going to be using it this Winter and I believe it was just announced in the last month or so(not positive on that).

One day they will be using sleet warnings, and megastorm warnings for storm that produce over 16 inches of snow and or rain accompanied by a low pressure. Lol. How do you post images?

Ok, does the "severe" cold advertised by the models actually occur in late January/early February?

A case of delayed but not denied?

Some mighty cold readings way up north...

I told you how to do it. I can't help you further when you don't even say what the problem you're having is. Go to this forum and practice and/or explain what trouble you're having so this thread can get back on track.
