Southwest Winter weather

#1 Postby arizona_sooner » Tue Dec 13, 2011 9:50 pm

After a pretty miserable summer, the winter here in the Phoenix area has been quite the pleasant surprise so far!

We've had 11 out of the last 43 days with measurable rain and only a couple days where we had frost damage on the tomato plants.

Plus the mountains are doing well snow-wise. I believe the ski resorts (Snowbowl and Sunrise) should have banner weekends coming up!

Myself I played golf on the day before thanksgiving in 80 degree weather. What a nice give and take for the southwest this year.

So far so good. Here's to hoping it continues!
