3-4 Inches of snow at my hotel. Still snowing. The snow was unexpected but a nice surprise. They had Winter storm warnings for Philly this morning. At last check it was 36 and raining there..

Woke up to a dry pavement in Lansdale and had a nice dry ride into center city Phila, nothing at all!

Philadelphia was too far inland to get the snow, just as the models had been predicting. Models had been focusing on the heavier snow to fall in eastern NJ.

Hopefully the east track resulted in less damage to the already stricken areas.

It did for coastal flooding, but created a new problem - heavy snow. The near-shore of NJ, NY and CT were the bullseye...

I used to live up there. Snow is rare in early November. It should melt off with the 60 degree temperatures this weekend.

Good website that lets you plot the wind/snow event. Pick "snowfall" or "wind gust" and select the past 24 hrs.
