OK, I'm curious - 200 what?

I'm guessing he meant page count for the thread.

That makes sense. Hitting 200F would be a little warm, even for me.

Ahh, what a difference a year can make. A year ago, we were in the midst of a great two week run of winter weather that started in late February.

This was the snow event in Denison on the night of March 5, 2015.

Sure don't see any bicycle tracks anywhere. :D

Yep, yesterday we had low 80s in Houston. Today it was upper 70s. This day last year we were having icing here in Houston! :froze:

Uh, thunderstorms for Dallas on Wednesday? That's about right. I'm flying to Dallas and then on to Lubbock. I'm not a good flyer to begin with and now there's going to be thunderstorms. :crying:

If it makes you feel any better... it appears the worst weather will be Tuesday into early Wednesday with conditions improving during the day Wednesday(probably just some lingering light rain). It won't be chamber of commerce weather, but I don't think it'll be too bad.

From an agricultural and I guess all around stand point, winter is officially done when the mesquite trees start putting on leaves.

And it's snowing pretty good down in Mexico today. Lots of pictures on Twitter.

We can't get Portastorm any snow in ATX but they're watching big flakes fall south of the border?!?

What a weird winter this has been.

The winter that never was. For DFW December was the second warmest on record, February was the 9th warmest, January was slightly above normal. 4th warmest winter on record behind 1999/00, 1906/07, 1951/52

I haven't looked into the actual rankings yet, but I know we had no more than 2 or 3 light freezes in Houston this Winter. Definitely a "Winter that wasn't" compared to some we have had and compared to normal. :spam:

There were only 2 official (IAH) freezes in Houston, 32F on both the 11th and 28th of January.

Don't worry gang, we'll get old Wxman57 next December - I can already feel the arctic winds preparing to blow!

So the last three mornings have brought lows of 37, 34 and 33 here in Denison.

Nice invigorating days, don't you think? :D

Born and partially raised in Memphis, I was 2 1/2 years old when this happened. As my parents recall, there was only a slight chance of snow that day, most thought the storm would go north of Memphis.

Instead, nearly 18 inches of snow fell on the banks of the Mississippi, one of the great snowfalls of all-time in the Midsouth.

May Portastorm get to experience this one day soon! :D
