upper midwest -- flurries

#1 Postby Kalrany » Thu Oct 29, 2015 5:09 pm

Winter is peaking it's nose out. Had flurries last night up here in Wisconsin.

A mighty change, since last week we were in Houston for a wedding.

Anyone else in the cold zone?

BRRR cold with snow!

Should be back to the mid 60s and maybe near 70s up there next week. Will be quite warm for November, near record actually for this part of the country for the time of year. Don't put up those shorts yet!

70s last week/ early this one, down to 17 last night. Snow is expected to start at 6pm and be a good 7ish inches!
Don't you love the upper Midwest winters?

Moving to Madison soon from Houston! It's amazing to see the lack of snow so far this year...

This is a bizzar winter! We get snows on Mon/Tues, single digits midweek, then climb to 40-50s by the weekend to have it all melted by Sunday evening. Rinse, repeat for a couple of weeks now.

I kid you not: I have seen people wearing shorts under their winter coats to they are prepared for the Thurs/Fri switch!

I know I will be moving back to Houston in May (bye 'Sconi) but I didn't need my last winter in Madison to not even feel like the Midwest!

We are going to miss the weather terribly. Neigther of us like the heat. I am from MI originally, he is from MI, OH, CO, IL, and AK! I think he would happily move back to Anchorage if we could find jobs there! :D
