I've been saying for a while now that I am high on the 1st 1/2 of March.

Bubba, you would think so with many favorable factors, but it don't always guarantee cold and snow unfortunately

The beginning, west of del Rio, per radar. LLJ in full effect here. Surface winds very choppy. Haven't felt this in months! Full spring! Stormsx :D

New hashtag btw.

Interesting watching the baby instability forming along the escarpment. I love the Pacific.

There might be a tornado or 2 with this system.

Noticed some quick flashes a few min ago while I was out in back waiting for my dogs to do their business. I had a feeling it was lighting and sure enough checked the radar and saw there was a couple of strikes in the hills around Marble Falls.

Euro has bullseye of nearly 10" of rain in Kaufman county. A lot of rain is coming. DFW looks like 2 rounds of rain today per HRRR. The current precip to the southwest of us will make its way through noon. Then a line may approach from the west

Slight possibility Feb rainfall records may be met

May have a number of flight delays getting into Dallas on Tuesday evening. Thunderstorms, not winter weather.

Any chance that bulls eye moves closer to the DFW area? It hasn't seemed to really moved over the past couple of days.

It's nice to be excited about weather again.

It has been shifting southwest over the past week. Bullseye earlier was in Arkansas. Cold surface air will be west of I-35 and warmer to the east. The middle ground will be highway for rain

My guess, we see an area of High added and that we see Flash Flood watches hoisted across portions of DFW and for areas to the east.

Getting back in about 4 from Florida (was here for the Daytona 500), do you think I’ll make it back before flight delays?

Not knowing where "in" is, I'll assume you mean the DFW area. Best chance for thunderstorms and delays is prior to 6pm, so you may see some delays. Squall line might not really get going until it's east of the DFW area, though. I watched the 500, didn't notice you in the crowd...

Good time to remind folks to add their location to their profile. You dont have to put your home address  but a general indication of where you are helps in answering questions as well as adds to the community feel of the board.

NAM has been consistent on a rather large ice storm for western parts of Texas and a lot of Oklahoma. Anyone buying into this?

I am working on a project in my garage and the floor in there is all moist and dewy. Rather disgusting.

Sorry yeah, DFW, should’ve been clearer haha. And gotcha thanks for the heads up. It was a good race I sat at the very end of the grandstands.
