Good mix of ice and snow in Cisco Texas, along interstate 20, between Eastland and Abilene.

Driveway iced over, starting to gather on grassy areas.

Lucky. Areas around Austin and SA have had less than 1 inch so far this year. Wish yall in north TX would share some rain with us moisture starved folks here.

Since yall decided to be greedy and keep all the rain up there for this event, we won't be sharing any snow with yall. Better luck next winter! :ggreen:

Lake in our community is overflowing this morning. I had never seen that until 2015. Also, it has frozen pretty good twice this winter and that is the 1st time that I've seen that.

Pfffft. Y'all hogged all the qpf and snow the first 2/3rds of winter. We're only collecting the debt :cheesy:

Keep your heads up though, active pattern still to be for another 2 weeks or so

Quite chilly in the Panhandle (mid-teens). GFS keeps the cold air north of central Houston. WRF & NAM bring the cold air through this afternoon with temps dropping into the 50s. I think the GFS is wrong. Still lots of heavy rain west of Austin, perhaps you'll get more rain there today.

That front just arrived in NW Harris County. My temperature is down to 60F now and falling.

Still mid 70s at our office near Hobby. Nasty ice storm up north.

The freeze line has pretty much stalled out, and temps have even risen to 34 in Denton, McKinney, Grapevine, and Alliance Airport. Temps are holding steady in the mid 30's across all of DFW metro area. As the sun sits this evening the freeze line could slip into the DFW area and cause problems for tomorrow morning.

All you guys so worried about rain and drought, be careful what you wish for! Typically, you will catch up eventually. Might happen in one day. Interesting to see the persistant -PNA right after my trip to CO.

My neighbors PWS shows a 2 day total of 4.86" in my hood so far. Another neighbor across the street was out putting down fertilizer Monday evening when rain started. I joked with him he just sent 20lbs of fertilizer down the drain and into Ray Hubbard. Even though I was joking with him, I was dead serious. It likely washed out into the street and down the drain which goes straight to Ray Hubbard. Our soils were already saturated and all 4.86" of this was runoff.

I live right off Ray Hubbard, and this morning our backyard and front yard were flooded.

Dynamic cooling taking place just west of the metroplex with the batch of thundersleet. Ice storm warning well warranted..
