I'd say you have excellent chances of getting out, though there could be a few delays, depending upon where the plane you're flying out on is coming from. The runways will likely be fine, and they do have the capability to de-ice an aircraft before takeoff.

They cancelled my flight. Re-booked me on one later in the afternoon. Flight was coming in from Orlando. My guess is the one they re-booked me on will also be cancelled as well. They have cancelled all 7 of the flight options I had except for the one they re-booked me on.

My advice is to just get booked for Wed, because then if they cancel the one you're booked on, if you wait until then you may not get out until Thursday. I've worked for an airline or something in the industry long enough to know even a little bit of precip can be a total cluster.

Intellicast has a good winter weather radar:

Lol. I think you got setup a little. I am not too far from Richardson and I at least have this. Since I took the photo it is coming down the hardest of the evening at 29 degrees. Still may not get to much, but it’s more than that photo at least.

RadarScope, weatherbug, storm app all have decent radar. To me RadarScope is the best because of the sheer amount of options. Also easy to see dry air coming in on RadarScope. However, it’s not the smooth pretty radar that you see on tv weather websites, it’s a more detailed true weather geek type app.

Some solid looking returns developing just SW of DFW and moving off to the NE. Can that clip portions of DFW with some accumulation or are the lower levels drying out too fast?

The HRRR is painting some pretty good QPF amounts across Southeast Texas...

Wow Weathernewbie, you are 4 miles from me I would guess. Not that I have much (at all), but Ijust walked outside and where the shade hits during the daytime at least for a couple days we will be reminded that it actually snowed. Radar shows you should still get a bit. None of us will be wowed this far north.

Streets are mostly dry (in front of my house) with some noticeable wet spots that feel slushy. My kids (and I) are hopeful we get enough to get that all white.

There appears to be another slight snow line coming down from Amarillo through central Oklahoma? Could anything come of that? Still just graupel here, if that northern line is nothing we may be done in Collin County.

Could you please post or share a link to the same image but for SELA? Curious if it shows anything for us. I saw a run of the radar and it shows some snow but not sure about amounts.

Rather frustrating that it looks like our wee bit of QPF will be wasted on sleet and mangled graupel...

That is probably the 700mb front, we might see an uptick in radar returns as that approaches DFW but it appears the lower levels are drying out rather fast.

Looks like that band about to move across the OK line is building. Once it gets into more moisture to the south, it doesn't take long to put down a couple of inches. Hope you guys get a surprise.

That appears to be their forecast. They have a patch of dark blue in SW Dallas county, southern Tarrant, most of Denton and Collin counties 10F or below. Immediate DFW core low teens in their graphic
