Man i hate it when big HP's are modified by the pacific, or they reach over the pacific some and lose strength.

Euro looks much better...15-25 Deg F below normal for later next week. Has -45 Deg F below normal coming down the central plains, I'd imagine an airmass like that with a good snow cover to the north won't modify as much as the US model is forecasting!

Re: Texas Winter 2018-2019
Here are the 240hr panels from the EC & GFS. They are much more in agreement vs. the 00Z runs. No big surprise that they both also indicate a much weaker high moving out of Canada (1044mb vs. 1050+ mb). Euro is more aggressive with the cold air - single digits to northern OK vs. mid 20s for the GFS. I'd tend to believe the EC over the GFS. Hoping my new Red River wall holds...

After trashing the Euro the whole year I now pronounce the Euro as King Euro once again because it’s showing what I like!

I agree, somewhere between freezing and unusually warm next Thursday. Either winter weather or warm rain. Somewhere in that range...

Re: Texas Winter 2018-2019
It was chilly here today. Topped out at 54, but it felt cooler than that. Will be watching the warm sector down here over the next couple of days. It's getting to be time to turn the page to the spring storm season...

I know the weeklies have been cra# this winter; however, I, cannot help but notice the wet signal jt has for March. Seems fitting with the SOI trend the last few weeks. IMO.

All we’ve been getting around here lately is a bunch of fog, drizzle, & mist. It’s been terrible. If it rains it better at least be a moderately steady rain. Otherwise it’s just a big boring yawn to me. I’d rather have me some sunshine than all this mist and fog we’ve had here almost daily now for the past few weeks.
