All we’ve been getting around hear lately is a bunch of fog, drizzle, & mist. It’s been terrible. If it rains it better at least be a moderately steady rain. Otherwise it’s just a big boring yawn to me. I’d rather have me some sunshine than all this mist and fog we’ve had here almost daily now for the past few weeks.

We've had the misty/drizzly fog stuff too more often than not since the beginning of January. It's not enough to do any good for the soil moisture, and completely messes up your vehicle, spotting and caking on your finish since it mixes with the road crud and whatever dust/pollen/pollution is in the air, instead of washing it out.

It's nice to get a heavy downpour, because it cleans out the air, and you get a free car wash out of it.

Portastorm's Deep Thought of the Day:

Did you ever notice this winter season that when the computer models show snow or ice and cold for Texas it never happens ... but when they show rain or warmer temperatures it always happens? I think these models hate us.

The winter storms out west have been something to behold, and not just the crazy snow totals. Pasadena, the hills around Malibu and other parts of L.A. seeing snow. Nuts.

Irritating to see all the rain east of us today. Grrrrrr. Maybe I am tired after a long week. Weather is never perfect and never will be. Or maybe weather is perfect everyday I just don't realize it. Hmmmmm.

As I said before in a previous post a while back. Action to our east and west and we’re stuck right in the middle of no mans land.

Same here all the way down in southeast Texas except temps are in the low 60’s here. So sick of this weather. Somebody tell me when we can expect this to change.

We will probably see one last "hurrah" from winter centered around the first weekend of March. That'll probably be it for it. If it doesn't snow/sleet what not during that time, we'll probably have to wait till next winter.

Too soon to think about planting yet. Easter this year is probably at a higher risk of a late freeze than your typical year given MJO/ENSO progression in early April.
