Yep it is. Looked great until the frame you expected it to push into DFW haha. NAM hates DFW.
Ralph, where’s your location?
Hideaway. A bit NW of Tyler.

Weather geek and a storm spotter in West Austin. Not a degreed meteorologist. Big snow fan. Love rain and cold! Despise heat!

Another factor at play is elevation...even though it might seem insignificant, the 500 to 600ft elevation rise from DFW out towards Graham to Brownwood can play a big role in setups such as these

I think worse than being in DFW in that scenario and getting nothing is being that “2” in that graphic and only a few miles away is that green. I mean i would be happy with the 2 but, common man.

I feel pretty confident someone is going to get hammered and I think it’s going to be further south than most are expecting. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the northern burbs of Austin up thru the Brazos Valley and southern Piney woods getting in the act.

Awe come on just say all the way down to the coast and include Houston lol. If the circulation would go further south would that mean less snow? Due to the lack of cold

I have a major gut feeling DFW is going to get the short end of the stick again while the South gets the glory (or snowflakes).

Further south it gets, the more warm air gets entrained into the ULL and in turn will shrink the core area of snow even more...this is going to be a thread the needle type storm for snow, well aren’t they all ? Haha

Trowal is getting more intense qpf wise as we are nearing on the guidance. Some may see thundersnow or thundersleet should that happen (with winds) with strong dynamics.

Per my previous post that surely can’t be correct. If it would help however I would be willing to withdrawal said previous post.
