Timing and location? What are you seeing exactly?
If the SREF is to be believed, then the best parameters would be north and west of DFW around midnight through 6 AM. The question is if there will actually be discrete or semi-discrete storms that could take advantage. If the low ends up further south or southeast then everything would shift closer to DFW.
Go figure, this time the low may track just right, but if there is snow possible we know how they track. What gives.......

The chances that the surface low stays northwest of DFW are pretty high right now, so even if this was a potential snow event, I don't think it would work out well for DFW.

I'm NW of DFW and I don't like severe storms.

Capping looks tough to break later this evening and the best forcing looks to be off to the north of DFW. However, FWD is still going with 100% coverage late this evening as the front moves through DFW.

Looks like they rolled it back from 100% to 70% for most areas.

Looks like an extremely skinny line at best
The HRRR mostly misses the metro entirely with the better line in Oklahoma

I’ll take the rain. Severe weather is cool when it isn’t your car or house getting shredded.

That's how I feel. I understand the fascination with storms but don't care for severe weather.

It has been foggy, wet and mild here for the past few days. Especially foggy today with visibilities below 1 mile all day.

Lol I don't really care for severe weather so no big loss for me, but a nice noisy line would be fun

Summer's for hibernation, Winter’s my vacation
Please don't use my posts as forecast, I'm a complete meteorology noob! I just like cold weather, alright?

Good storm moving over Wichita Falls right now.
Things might get interesting here in a little bit for Northern half of NTX.

The storms weren’t near as strong as they had forecasted. Possibly due to the cool air and drizzle all day? Picked up 0.38” out of it. Not too bad.

That's the reason I don't visit this website during the Spring anymore. It's infuriating reading posters pining for severe weather. I mean, who says, "I really can't wait to track and see destructive storms that destroy homes, cars and lives. So cool!"

I won't for sure!
I can't wait to track them, but that is about as far I can say on that, & I don't want to see homes wreaked, especially in a Pandemic

The storms were further North than Expected, I had closer to 3/4 of an inch with close Lightning
