Remember March 2015?

It's possible in March, but the odds are small.

Here's what you Texans want to happen. Preferably the La Nina ends this spring and we experience neutral condition. Then a weak Nino develops next winter and builds into a moderate to strong Nino (you don't want a super one) the next spring, summer, and winter. You get that to happen and you can get back to back winters with good snow (possibly back to back to back for some of y'all).

I've been here since the winter of 2014/2015 and while that winter was snowy here I don't think I've honestly seen a true arctic blast here

Several winters since didn't even get below 20 in Dallas sad

Here on January 17th of 2018, we got down to 18 degrees and that’s the coldest it’s ever been here in my life that I can remember. I’m sure you guys were in the single digits up there if I was at 18.

Lowest for DFW since 2015 is 14 in 17 and 13 in 18... Last single digits was 1996

That’s crazy. That urban heat island up there is stout.

I'm thinking that you may have tracked an April Snowstorm in 2017 over Oklahoma, (I got .5 inch of snow from that one) and you don't want to speak too soon.

I remember back in January 2016, it got down to 1°F at Tecumseh

I think that was the same time that we got down to 7° outside of WF.

No snow coming at all from all of the models to the end of this month. :(

But, I'm not stopping for winter models until March/April.

I see one 30 degree morning in the next ten days and it is a 39 according to KXAS. In the middle of winter. Damn and ouch.

It may not snow in Texas, but severe weather is possible on Sunday in north Texas and some of southeast Oklahoma. SPC has issued a 15% risk for its Day 4 outlook.

Otherwise, this week is a crappy weather week with clouds, rain, and mist... it's like we're in the Pacific Northwest or something... :spam:

What a shame. Winter is very likely over at this rate (What will heat miser react to this????)

But, storm season is posed to start this weekend in Northern Texas & Southern Oklahoma.

It will be interesting to see. The weather channel is famous for putting these temp forecasts out weekly and they never seem to be the same. The models however don’t look good either.
