That's a bit conservative don't you think bkhusky2? Temps already dropping to the upper 30's in the SE, so I would say within the next two to three weeks we will see our first frost.

My guess for the first frost for the Ocala/Leesburg, Florida area will be the wee hours of the morning, December 25th. :D

I was thinking freeze, dumb me, first frost November 2. It really looks warm for a while, looking at extended GFS output.

What part of AL are you located? You may have your first frost before us if you are in northern AL near Huntsville.

I'm in Trussville, a NE suburb of Birmingham.

Birmingham has a similar weather pattern to us. If you were in the northeastern part of AL, you would definitely see more winter weather. I think the mountains there can sometimes keep the moisture from crossing the state line.

We didnt have a first frost this year...we had a freeze late last week. Temp bottomed out around 26 degrees. Last night, we had another freeze. Hoping for some Indiana Summer weather soon, I just gotta get one more round of golf in before winter settles in this year!

I was off on my date. We got our first frost last night. I guess being close to the lake makes it a little bit milder here.

I have been in central Florida for three winters and the temperatures have been near 32° about five or so times, all occurring in mid January. Last year, this portion of the state, the Ocala area has been down to the mid to upper 20's a couple times.
