First Coastal Nor Easter? (benchmark one too)

About 9 days out but look at this!
If this was winter, parts of New England would be getting 3-4 feet of snow!

Yes, but if this was shown 9 days out on the GFS, nobody would believe it. The Garbage Forecasting System has all kinds of fantasy storms 7 or more days away. But it looks nice anyway!

Yeah... While the GFS is accurate at times I don't like using it completely for a forecast after about Day 4 or 5. It is something to watch though.

Yeah, it brings the possibility of rain/snow to my area on Friday-Sunday timeframe. Nothing to be concerned about or worried about. If it PANS out then we will have our first snow. But, not to worry, it won't be significant. I HOPE this pans out cause a snow on October 18 would be pretty interesting. Last year our first snow was October 29.

*Here's to a fun and interesting winter*

You need model run-to-run continuity (especially with the GFS) before you can take credence to anything it says in the far future.
