A Bitter Cold Winter Ahead?
Well, the Chicago Cubs, playing with the wind blowing in on a chilly and damp night tonight, have a chance to control the weather even more.
For as you know, Hell will freeze over if the Cubs win tonight or tomorrow against the Marlins and go to the World Series.
It will be difficult for both teams to hit the long ball tonight at Wrigley as a north to northwest wind may not diminish much until the game winds down in the late innings.
Just wanted to remind all of you that the Cubs not only control their own destiny here...but also have much to do with determining just how cold the upcoming winter will be...
SORRY FOLKS!!! I could not resist!!! AZSkyman, our esteemed board sage posted this over in the Off Topid forum. We may have to change our witner outlooks!!!

And there may not be a summer next year.....
Cause if both the Cubbies and Red Sox make it to the World Series, Hell will freeze over in block ice three foot thick. That frozen mess will take a looong time to melt
