Re: Snow squalls N. new england
it snowed also in Northern Ontario this morning... Sudbury, North Bay and Huntsville to name a few spots.
Snow is very rare, even in these parts, on the last day of May.

About 2 inches of snow around my house yesterday. That was a very rare event, and everyone was stunned seeing snow on their flowers and open pools and chairs.
There was also snow last night in northern Vermont and New Hampshire, even at the lower elevations.
Normally, in late May/early June, you have to go at least to far northern Ontario and Quebec (places such as Nakina, La Grande and Moosonee - about 50-52N latitude) and Labrador to find a decent chance of snow.

It would be a historic ice age if snow fell in south Florida at this time of year...after all, it is extremely rare (i.e. once or twice a century) for snow to fall there at any time of year, even in inland areas...
