Monday night/Tuesday morning got down to 11. Tuesday night/This morning it got down to 15. I think the last time it was 11 or colder here was before I was born in 1995... :) :cold:

8 this morning for 2 back to back days in the single digits... we surged to 45 this afternoon in full sunshine to break a streak at 59 hours below freezing... this was a really historic cold outbreak for this area... most all reporting stations set record lows and some set record low highs. Only 20 right now at 1:30am and feels downright balmy which I never thought possible lol

15F here this morning. That's WAY above normal and the warmest night we've had this year, by far. A warm spell in mid-December is the last time we had a night this warm. Of course, the warm weather is because it's snowing and everything is slick.

Still, the previous cold spell is long gone and it doesn't appear that it is going to get very cold anytime in the near future:

Except for Saturday, days won't really be that warm, but nights will be very mild for at least the next week.

Being December 1rst is time to resurrect this thread to see how cold it gets on a daily basis in your area.

Easterly winds bringing "cold" continental airmasses at 54 degrees north, still not getting below the mid 20s.
Thanks for nothing, Gulf stream. :x

It got down to 31 degrees at my locale this morning. All week long our region has been entrnched in a upper level northwesterly flow, bringing us dry conditions and cool and below average temps here in Florida. This will continue into early next week.

-35F at my house this morning. It's already -29F at 8:40 PM, so it may be colder than that tonight.

I measured -35F again this morning at the house. Downtown had the official low in the nation though:

Even Alaska didn't have any readings that low.

The mercury dropped to 31.4 degrees this morning at my locale, which FINALLY gives the first freeze of this 2015-16 winter season here. Long time waiting this year for this to occur for sure.
