Very strong showers and gusts with numerous lightnings are spreading on Basse-Terre given HUC latest observation (i was on the phone with him) he prefered to shut down its computer as a strong squall line is firstly affecting Basse-Terre. Hope that the night won't be so stormy

Both yesterday and today were dry with mostly mid level and high clouds and there has been a refreshing southeasterly breeze, especially today.
Stay safe and keep us informed of your situation when you can. I just had a chance to really look at the pix you posted and all I can say is  !

A continuous bright lightening show from the west currently lights up the sky.
Bracing ourselves for the coming rainstorm from the south-east edge of
Otto overnight.
My drive to Roseau tomorrow should be interesting if at all possible.

Well its not over yet for the BVI....our government put us under a State of Emergency today, the damage is insane..its estimated the damage has been worse then Hurricane Earl and the locally infamous 2003 november floods together. We have had 16 +inches of rain in the last 24 hours and more is to come tomorrow so we are still under Flash flood warning. There are landslides from the top of 600FT hills all the way down to the coastlines. Streets are under 3-5ft of water in some places and some people are displaced from their homes. Still hoping for th best.

Is not common to have a good deal of rain in many parts of Puerto Rico at the nightime hours, but that is what is happening tonight, as you have being seeing me posting many flood advisories.
