Just light rain here so far (even though a flash flood warning popped up). I'm sure we'll get more as time goes on.

I saw pics of snow in the Davis Mountains so we did get snow in TX today. I haven't had a chance to look, was there an official freeze in the state today?

September?

Just incredible and nice to see West Texas get some cold and rain on this September 9. Meanwhile the front and accompanying rain has teased the DFW area all day so much so it is comical to look at. Just a couple counties over is are 50 degree readings and plentiful rain. I keep having to remind myself it is early September!!!! Any cool down and rain is a blessing this time of year.

The front is through the West side of Keller. Temps just dropped down into the upper 60's.

64 at Fort Worth :double:

I'm feeling more optimistic the front will clear Dallas late tonight with the WRF and NAM showing temps mostly in the 60s overnight and tomorrow

there should be some good rain before that also

Just went out and checked gauge. Up just over 1" mark today. I got 0.6" of that, just out of this last wave/round. More to come. FF Warning just issued for Williamson CO.

Edit: Received 1.5" today so far. Maybe more later(?). Front moving through tonight. Love it!

Heavy rain and gusty north winds here in Denton at the UNT campus. Looks to be a out 70 and dropping. Still working on my iced coffee from this morning now wishing I had a hot coffee.

Big temperature difference over a few miles today. It was 65 in Fort Worth and 79 at my house in Arlington. It's dropping now and lots of thunder off to the South with the rain headed this way.

It's crazy how we can have such a temp swing that close. And also that we are not having a major severe weather outbreak.

Summer's for hibernation, Winter’s my vacation

Please don't use my posts as forecast, I'm a complete meteorology noob! I just like cold weather, alright?
