I know everyone is focusing on the tornado watch area, but the HRRR has been trending toward some big hailers for DFW later

HRRR and NAMNST have my attention for this very scenario for Longview (and most of NE TX). 5-6 AM tomorrow morning, and pretty much a duplicate scenario for Wednesday morning.

I hope the GFS doesn't verify less than 0.10 of rain for me during the whole run according to the 18Z GFS

A left splitter from down in the Hill Country is making a run at DFW. Some runs of the HRRR today showed that scenario.

That was intense. Almost an inch and lots of luckily small hail.

Think it wasn’t too heavy to wash away my lawn apps yesterday I hope.

Here we go, another ENH for hail. I have a feeling today might be the day the DFW's luck runs out with the ENH.

The 6z and 12z HRRR runs have moved the train about 50 miles to my north, however multiple rounds of storms are still likely through tomorrow morning, so we'll see what happens. DFW still seems to be in the crosshairs for some more hailers as well.

I'll take a hard pass on the hail. Sure we'll get get the spike in insurance premiums for the region.

Do want the rain though, keeps temps in check.

My rates already doubled from last year and some companies aren’t serving DFW at all.

This morning storms dropped large hail over a large area of southern Tarrant County. Areas of Mansfield, Burleson, Joshua, Crowley, received hail up baseball size. The VW dealership in Joshua has a lot of damage with busted out windshields. The Toyota dealership on 35 in Burleson was also hit, (was supposed to pick up a new 4Runner this afternoon) that now been postponed till a later date.

In Lake Worth, Saginaw area the hail was the size of bottle caps (6:20am). Mansfield got up to tennis ball size hail from the pics I saw from a co-worker.

May see another round late this afternoon.

Either fog has developed or its heavily drizzling outside in Las Colinas. Nothing is coming up on radar, but visibility is limited for sure. 72 degrees.

There's an outflow boundary that has made it's way south of DFW that stretches WSW to the west, and ESE to the east towards Toledo Bend. Doesn't seem to be moving very fast and should start moving north or washing out I'd think.

That boundary has begun lifting north. Storms are trying to fire near the I-20 corridor in the DFW area. Scattered severe storms continue in NE TX. A friend sent me a picture of what looks like tennis ball size hail that fell near Ore City, TX within the last couple of hours.
