Yeah, the faucet from Mother Nature is going to be running for quite awhile over the state for sure!

Well, as one poster noted so astutely, at least the rain is keeping the lovebugs away. So, at least some consolation in that regard..However, we will really suffer later on with mosquitoes unfortunately when the rain subsides.

Lol not just more to come, more like with no end in sight. The GFS has the subtropical jet bringing moisture in for at least another 10 days.

Moisture plume continues to funnel into Florida. Note dry air in Gulf and Atlantic with Florida wedged inbetween:

It is raining an absurd amount where I'm at but thank God it cant flood here because of all the sand.

Interesting little low just off of Panama City and appears to be sliding west. 850mb vorticity has seen a definite increase this morning.

Meaning the Sahara lol? (kidding . Well, assuming you're somewhere north of the "Cape Line" (Canaveral to Coral) you might be right. South of that line however, you guys in S. Yep, this feature also showing up nicely on the 3K NAM 500mb analysis as well (https://www.tropicaltidbits.com/analysi ... 52112&fh=0). NAM 850mb showing that area general circulation as well. Perhaps this could just hang around for 2-3 days while developing a more favorable upper air anticyclonic jet to the N.E. and S.E. (as the EURO is trying to do). Would'nt seem ideal for development and still rather sheared, but probably enough for a minimal T.S. to form. That set up might bring an increased focus of precip to the Florida Panhandle

The 18z GFS if it verified would give much of S FL another 10 inches plus on top of what had already fallen. Many places would be 20.00 plus for the month

Hello NDG. Yeah the sunshine is nice, but it is only temporary. The deep, tropical airmass in place, along with the seabreeze convergence, and the daytime heating will all contribute to heavy thunderstorms across the peninsula later today.

Actually the GFS and even the HRRR have really dried up for us here in the Orlando area for at least today, with only isolated pop up storms this afternoon.
06z GFS now shows the "wet" pattern not return until this weekend, I'll take it even better if the wet pattern never materializes so that we can enjoy the beach the weekend.

It was dry in Lehigh Acres In Lee County for 2 days straight. It rained on my house today for less than 29 minutes leaving just shy of a half inch. More please!

Feeling awfully guilty yesterday was gorgeous in St. Augustine, not a drop of rain and all the after showers set up north and west of us, today is looking like more of the same. If we do get 3-5 inches from this storm I think our area will be more than capable of handling it.

Haven't seen any significant rain all week....what happened?
