Well that's an encouraging map, maybe I can get hit with only large hail instead of very large hail.

18z 3k NAM & 18z/19z HRRR seem to show an increasing threat of storms moving through DFW later on.

Yup. As I mentioned earlier regarding these dryline setups, storms have already developed much further west than models had shown and so sometimes these things surprise. SPC had to adjust for that in their latest update.

Temps down across SA metro approaching 90 degrees and so if anything manages to develop down here this evening...look out.

That cap is still looking pretty nasty on the 20z FWD sounding.

It's giving shades of 3/14, but we'll see...

Don't complain, would you rather have no hail?

Just saw a mesonet report of an 88mph wind gust just east of Albany with that storm.

To me the storm to watch is the one just SW of Vernon.

Blob of rain moving up I-44 and late initiation in OK is starting to make me skeptical we end up with much in C OK. Most of it could be east of here after sunset. Still gotta watch it though.

Would not be surprised to see an extension of that Tornado Watch further south to include DFW.

Right now, across southern and central Oklahoma light rain/cloud cover has really helped to keep things bottled/in check for now. Think the main concern is going to be across N Texas tonight moving into SE Oklahoma perhaps. We shall see.

A couple of svr warned storms out W & SW of DFW. Those would be the ones to watch.

We will probably see the watch expanded eastward here shortly, given that the graphic highlights the risk to western DFW, including Tarrant County.

And as soon as I say that storms start popping up finally

We'll see how strong they can get before they get here

Cell entering Norhtern Parker County could be trouble. It appears to be separating from the quasi-line, and that might give it better inflow and ability to organize.
