I had 42 here in Wharton both this morning and yesterday morning too.

I had ice on my car this morning I had to scrape off. Crisp and cool and enjoyed my hot coffee on the drive into work.

Beautiful fall weather on tap for several days albeit dry. Settling in the 50's-70's next week will be a pleasure with the next chance for wetter, cooler weather at the end of the 10 day period. Enjoy the next several days people!!!

Are we finally in a post-hurricane season pattern for the most part? This cooler weather seems to be hanging around now.

Seriously. I'm sick of not having a Fall, and instead have to settle for Summer lite.

honestly the cold Novembers did nothing for us the last couple years here

Maybe having a warmer one will help? We've got nothing to lose imo lol

I have been enjoying the daily frosts and nice afternoons. Hope we don't go too long before another good rain. Eta may reinforce the dryness next week as it passes east of here, but it should continue the nice cool weather.

Ten days out, there will be a very stron low just west of the Bering Strait. This could lead to an Arctic intrusion about 8 days later, if it materializes. Can kind of see the models trying to forecast it.

With 70% of the US forecast to have a warmer than average Winter I don't see this thread being very active this month. Any cold front i see in the models only brings NTX back down to seasonal temperatures.

When and if Winter makes an impressive appearance it won't be until January if then. Don't get me wrong I'm not counting out December having a cold spell, I just don't see any winter type weather until after Jan 1st.

Maybe after we move over to the Winter 20-21 thread things will pick up with posting.

It just takes one DFW storm to add 100+ pages to the winter thread. I wouldn't be concerned about the warmer forecast, as that can give you more chances for winter weather sometimes, but the drier than normal forecast for Texas is not encouraging for winter weather lovers. However, La Nina does tend to give North Texas 1 event, so we'll see if that happens.

Yeah this is getting pretty lame. It needs to get wet or cold or both quick. A November not to remember on tap.
