Picked up just under 2" at the house. Just North near Conroe there was widespread reports of 4" as well. The yard already is much happier.

There's some hefty rain totals in the area, including 10"+ just north of Jasper! A lot of nice totals north, south, east, and west of me. :P I'm in the 1"-ish range. There was a ton of thunder and lightning Monday night from about dusk, I believe, and lasting all night into Tuesday, but the heaviest rain kept missing me a little to my east or west, etc. Still, the ground was happy to get some rain. And I'm so glad the rain held off until after Halloween. We had outdoor stuff going on all weekend and the weather was wonderful.

We must be the new dry hole here in NW Harris County. I had less than 1/2 inch of rain Monday night/Tuesday morning and nothing more than mist and drizzle today. But at least it's 55 degrees at 2 PM. :cheesy:

Another .22" yesterday and we have had rain on and off most of today, probably about that same amount today so far. Had some really good showers among them. That is something I haven't seen in over a month. Steve, maybe Jen pushed the Bear Creek Dome NW a little. And the temp hasn't made it above 57f yet today. Currently sitting at 55F.

Windy today with a chilly morning, but comfortable afternoon. Gusts to 35 mph here. Emptied another 0.38" out of the gauge this am. May be looking at temps in the upper 30's here in my area with outlying areas in the mid 30's or possibly down to freezing depending on how outlying the location is for Sat. am. If we get those freezing temps it will be almost a month early for that cool of a temp in our area.

I had to pull out the little portable electric heater this morning to warm my toes and stuff while I drank my coffee. It got down to 40° here and supposed to be colder tonight. Image

I guess it's time to move some firewood to the patio. :)

Yep and Thanksgiving will be a total bummer. My brother in law and wife are Saint fans and I am a Cowboy fan. Can I run and hide ( I am running a 5 mile race Thanksgiving though...LOL)?...Sigh.

We're working on heading to the winter forum these days. Low this am was 38f. :cold: :cold: Looks like it is warming up nicely and we should have a beautiful weekend.

33° here this morning... close to my first freeze! Yep, think it's time to move to the Winter Forum. It's warmed up to a balmy 67° this afternoon. It's gorgeous outside!
