Yeah I wasn't too upset we underperformed like I said earlier  the bigger thing for me is how cool it is for the start of June

Yes, I love the cooler Temperatures, I don't want 100s at all! Maybe a streak of no 100s?

You may need to move to Montana to get your wish Ice.... But I second your thoughts...

Driving south on Hwy 288 from Houston... I saw at least 3 areas , by the roadside, that had recently experienced small grass fires, most likely caused by cigarette butts tossed out of vehicles.... It is drier than I thought it to be

Middle Texas coast roughly from Corpus to just west of Houston is experiencing some of the most anomalous hot/dry conditions in the state. Spring has been the warmest for much of the region. Galveston blew past it's hottest May after a very warm and dry April.

Hello neighbor!.... And yes... I passed through about 3-330ish.... Just past Hwy 6 (Southbound on 288)... The FD had a brush truck putting out the brush fire...like I mentioned earlier... I underestimated just how dry it really is...

Areas south of I-10 need a huge drink of water.

Hopefully y'all can get some help from the tropics as long as it's not a Harvey

But it is crazy to see the contrast to DFW and especially up here and in Kansas

Great morning here in West Texas near Albany. Not sure on the amount of rain yet but it has been pouring. First time that I've had water overflow the ditch and run onto the property.

Our slight rain chances have now vanished except for 20% Saturday night and Sunday.

Today and tomorrow will be beautiful days with highs in the mid-80's before the summer-like heat returns on Sunday through the rest of the week with mid-90's forecast. But it looks to stay pretty dry.

Some kind of MCS/MCV out near abilene trying to push east. Activity looks to be gradually decreasing but maybe some renewed development later this afternoon with daytime heating

HRRR and RAP are highlighting this potential.

After the passage of the Atlantic system there is a moderate risk of excessive heat. With temps in the low 100s + high dew points we may see some rounds of excessive heat warnings in the southern tier of the state. First widespread risk of moderate for the season. June will continue where May left off.

I’m thinking mid to late June we might be dealing with at least some tropical moisture.

Radar lighting up over Tarrant, Parker, Wise, and Denton counties. Should see continued expansion in courage and slow eastward movement. Can DFW airport score again?

Yea, this is turning into a decent event for those areas. Now to see if we can get any eastward propagation. If this slides over the airport, I could see DFW reaching monthly totals in the 1st 3 days of June.
