The temperatures from the 0Z CMC for Monday morning look nice. I don't recall an early October day that cool in years.

GFS has similar for DFW. May not hit 70 for a week after Monday.

Today's models continue to show that next week is going to feel downright chilly with highs struggling to reach the 60s and some days 50 will be a challenge (esp Tuesday). :cold:

Do we need to put out a sleet watch?! Temps in the 40s, CAA, and possible lingering precip? Very unlikely but hey. :D

It looks like the front on Sunday is going to be a pretty good one.

This upcoming front doesn’t really appear to be all that cold for SETX. The Euro doesn’t even really have below average temps for us down here.

We have a --EPO vs a ++NAO along with a Baja low left behind from the western trough and a strong Bermuda/SEUS ridge. The --EPO will unleash a series or cold surface highs out of western Canada where it has been cold. There is a snowpack over W Canada and into the N Plains (even some in the C Plains) to refrigerate this cold. The Baja low will pump in moisture keeping us cloudy early next week. The SE upper high will try to hold all of this at bay. The ++NAO will allow the surface highs to slide NE. A lot of factors but I think all of Texas will be pretty chilly early next week though I am not certain that this cold air will have the staying power that the CMC shows.

Everyone just trying to ignore our next rain event? Seems like it could be pretty significant with Sergio rolling through and ground already soaked.

Too early for fantasy snowstorms, right? Nah, never. Bring it all the way down. Let the games begin. Wxman57's winter outlook should be coming soon!!! :froze:

How reliable is the FV3 model at predicting fronts/Temps? It shows us getting getting pretty chilly early next week.

Monday is looking outright damp, rainy, cold, and windy in the northern half of the state. 40s, and light to moderate rain. Better dust off those light jackets.
