Warmest day of the year so far

#1 Postby Scott Patterson » Mon Mar 14, 2011 9:49 pm

‎49F today, the warmest day of the year so far. Spring must be on it's way (though we could still have some below zero temps yet to come).

You can start to see patches of grass in the yard, though there are still big snowdrifts (3-4 feet, but getting smaller as the days go on). Everything is wet though; because the ground is still frozen, water doesn't sink into the ground much.

Doesn't that warmth feel wonderful Scott! :D Here, a wee bit further north from your location ;o), it was 41F and conditions outside are the same as what you reported above (well except we had incredible winds that just howled). After the winter we just went through though it truly felt like a shorts and a t-shirt day. Oh how I wish it would stay like this until May.
