Getting a heavy thundershower in north San Antonio. Temperature feels better. Dropped to 70. Front past Leon Springs. Looks like it is in the upper 40s at my house in Cedar Park.

Sandra is about to make landfall. Large shield of moderate to heavy rain is streaming in from MX. west, north, and northeast Texas could experience flooding conditions overnight into tomorrow as most of the stuff today has been light on and off. Turn around, don't drown. We've already lost some fellow Texans this holiday weekend due to high waters lets heed those flood warnings. The trinity River at Dallas is at major flood stage (40ft)

DFW is 4th wettest November on record. A little less than 2 inches more and it will be the wettest November on record.

Edit: Correction DFW is at 2nd wettest Nov, 4th was as of the offical report at 4pm.

Looks like our friends in Oklahoma are about to get hammered with ice if they haven't already. On radar it is looking like a major ice storm from west Texas up towards OKC. Crazy way to close out November.

Unless I'm mistaken, as of midnight DFW received a little over 3.4" of rain for November 27th. That would be the wettest November day beating 1902's 3.24". So far storm total is around 6.1" Yards around these parts has become swampland.

North American heat on the ensembles. No arctic air to be found, only near normal in a small pocket likely from clouds and rain. The AO isn't going to tank anytime soon to record levels like in 2009 to prevent the December blowtorch in Canada Nino's are famous for. It will be near record warmth for the northern plains and northern tier to start December where they left off in November.

The cold mongering folks up north are afraid to death of super nino 1997-1998/1877-1878 (this is why some of the colder bias mets are quickly to point out differences from 97). Don't know if this will repeat but certainly will give them a scare.

The month does look wet for Texas and the southwest though with near to below normal averages. Looks like 60"+ is well within reach for DFW

The cold front has made it to the Upper TX Coast with only some light scattered showers. Low to moderate rain chances through Thursday with a slow warm up into the 60s for highs. Hoping for some Winter weather excitement in NTX for the week of Christmas but we shall see.

You think 53 and raining all day is better weather? Being stuck inside is no fun.
