Severe Event Nov. 11 or not?

#1 Postby WeatherGuesser » Tue Nov 10, 2015 3:06 pm

Media was hyping it quite a bit earlier, but SPC has moved and reduced the Enhanced Area three times today. I'm barely even in the Slight Area now.

Thoughts?

Severe weather as in small hail, winds, thunder probably widespread. If you're looking for large scale tornado outbreaks like seen in spring, probably not. rich moisture content and instability is not the same.

I'm looking for NOTHING. I would prefer to NEVER see severe weather again.

Just not sure why the media went into over-hype mode earlier.

Severe weather term is over hyped sometimes. Claps of thunder, lightning and heavy rain makes news these days. I think the more the bigger risk (moderate to high level risks) are more worthy of the hype. This is just slight to enhanced at this time. The biggest threat of late would be flooding for areas that have already seen much rain.

TOR Watch 534 in effect.

Slight Area dramatically reduced with the entire center section clipped out. Big relief here.

It doesn't look like it will be a bad event but you never know with weather.
