Looks like it was up to a mile wide. Massive damage and possible fatalities

:( I watched it live on TWC it went from a large stove pipe to a large and violent wedge tornado.

Me too. their coverage has been great and the storm chaser they were in contact with was in the perfect spot...you could see the horizontal vortices spinning off the tornado despite darkness. terrifying but I tip my hat to TWC for being on this tonight. they deserve kudos when they get it right.

It's a prime example of a multi vortex tornado. The damage sounds horrific

they have not showed anything from Rowlett or Garland yet. The damage they are showing appears to be from the initial tornado, not the big one. I have seen some damage from Garland, it is BAD

wouldn't be surprised if the death toll will go quite a bit higher.

6 confirmed deaths now

To be honest, given that this hit so many areas, this may be far worse than Moore from 2013

I've seen a few pics of the damage but the fact it struck at night makes it hard to tell what the full extent of it is. I'm hearing about homes leveled though

Dallas NBC just reported homes swept off of foundation in Sunnydale

Also, cars were tossed into pond. Using IR to try and find survivors (probably bodies at this point)
