The last 10 days straight have been below 'normal', some by 10 degrees or more. Today may be also. Tomorrow is marginal as of now.

Coupled with the gray skies and winds, it has felt even cooler; often needing more than one layer of clothes.

Even the grass growth rate has slowed down.

I hesitate jinks it but the forecast does look like a warm up to normal and then above normal will finally happen. When it's 90 and humid we will miss these cool days.

Today was just about perfect though. Upper 70s most of the day, topping out in the low 80s, clear, Sunny, calm.

100 is tough, but you are down there in the hot corner. I did a local contest for 90+ degree days. My June guess was 2 and we already have 2 with more upper 80's on the way. I expected a hot summer but not sure how hot.

Wow, that is miserable.

For some reason, it didn't feel that bad. It wasn't nice for sure. There was just a bit of a breeze, so when I did my almost-a-mile walk at 3PM, I wasn't quite half dead when I got to the pool and settled in. I was even able to cut up part of a small tree earlier this morning that fell in the storm yesterday.

I didn't do much else though. Hung out by the pool with some cold drinks part of the day.

I don't think I'm looking forward to August though.

We had a few nice cool days then the dewpoint hit 70+ and 1.5 inches of rain. Crazy weather. Now it's back to hot and miserable.

Official total for July so far is a little over 3" and many of the storms have missed there. I've probably had over 5" and some areas have had much more.
