35 Consecutive Days Of Rain (and counting) Question for Mets/Researchers

Today is the 35th consecutive day of echoes appearing on KPAH radar. Starting June 30, there has been rain somewhere in the area every single day. The next 7 days forecast period shows chances every day. If that verifies, we will be into the low 40s.

For Mets, analysts, researchers: Is there any way to determine the record for consecutive days of rain over a given region of the continental US?

CPC?
WPC?
NCDC?
Private sources?

37 Days and with big boomers.

Found a USA Today article from quite a few years ago stating Portland, OR had 55 straight days, so we won't get anywhere near that hopefully.
