:uarrow: Yeah, I just read that on CNN.com this morning. This is a major concern this weekend as there will be at least three more rounds of potential severe weather moving through the Deep South, including our area, especially tomorrow. Very concerned about severe weather here on Sunday.

USM is okay. William Carey University was hit pretty hard. The neighborhood around that school, as well as parts of the city of Petal, had major damage. Some areas are complete devastation. I live about three blocks from one of the hard hit areas, and there are emergency vehicles and trailers from all over the state.

For the time being, thankfully there are no other severe wx reports across the region. There is a squall line advancing through the region from Panama City, FL extending northeast to Walterboro, SC. Storm cells moving northeast and the overall line is propagating slowly southeast.

However, the next round of convective energy will pivot through the Gulf Coast region and across the Florida panhandle region and South Georgia later tonight and this will have to be monitored very closely.

My prayers to the Hattiesburg, MS area. I saw some footage of the damage there and it is quite sobering with the damage there.

:uarrow: Yeah this next shortwave energy REALLY needs watching very closely as this will come through overnight through the Gulf Coast/ Florida Panhandle/ North Florida /South Georgia regions. This same thing happpened last night in the Hattiesburg area. My huge concern is that people are going to be caught off guard asleep if tornadoes or straight line wind damage occurs. A very dangerous situation continuing across the region now through tomorrow night.
