NYC/Tri- State Area Spring/Summer 2017

#1 Postby weathaguyry » Sun Mar 19, 2017 10:50 am

With Spring Starting Tomorrow, I couldn't be happier to start this thread. With temperatures supposed to be in the mid- 50's on Tuesday, and possibly the 60's next Saturday, I am just so happy that Spring is in View, and that next Saturday I can go outside and enjoy the wonderful weather, who knows, with that west breeze, the ocean temp shouldn't cool things down too much, and maybe I can go for a bike ride on the boardwalk! Lets hope for a nice spring, with some nice early warmups, and no cold shots!!! :sun:

Today is not an ideal version of spring, but I am still staying optimistic. The highs are around 55 with lots of clouds, tomorrow we are expecting a big cool down with temperatures in the mid 40's, but then some of the forecasts are calling for mid- 60's on Wednesday!!!! Also there is a chance of a subtropical storm forming, how crazy is that? It almost reminds me of June, except the temperatures don't line up...

Today is an absolutely beautiful day with lots of sun with highs breaking 60 degrees. But next week the GFS shows some beautiful warmth for the area, right when the kids are out of school too! It is showing a broad 75-80 degrees for the area. Does anyone know how you are supposed to post an image of the GFS model frame? Now when you click on it the model sounding comes up and there's no way to get the link for the actual frame.

I use the snipping tool on my computer to take a screenshot of it.

Ahhhh, it was a wonderful 77 degrees with lots of sun today, perfect for sitting outside with some lemonade! Tomorrow may also turn out to be a nice day with temperatures in the mid 70's, which would be great, BRING ON THE SPRING!!! 8-)

Wow, it may go to 80 on Easter! But unfortunately this streak of good look seems to be ending, with showers and mid-50's back in the forecast :grr:

It was 86 degrees on this past Saturday, but this stubborn blocking pattern keeps wanting to come back :grr:

Lots of rain overall this summer, but some nice days too, overall I'm liking this summer, since it gets old after it's 88 sunny and humid for 5 days in a row as it has been in prior years

I was there 5 days in June and so far that's been the hottest temperatures of the summer... When LaGuardia hit 101 lol

Next time I go to NYC it won't be summer

My goodness, I went to work at the beach today, and after the rain it went down to 62 degrees, I was shivering my butt off! :cold:
