We hit 90 today in Austin. I see the Euro has more of that for us in about a week. Looks like wxman57 is taking control.

Decent week ahead and then we attempt to push for 90 next weekend. Clocks are an hour later.

Rainfall doesn't look impressive in the short to medium term. SOI still positive in what is a reversal from Feb. The more sig rain (on models) continues to be way out.

It may be that I-20 and south could be done with freezes if none happens the next few days. Red River north could still have a sneaky one but even there odds are low after this week

It looks like the airport didn't officially record any rain but areas just north of the airport picked up about 0.25" of rain with bigger totals off to the NE.

The Euro last night has backed off any 90's at DFW next weekend showing mid-80s, the EPS is even cooler with highs of 78/80/78 for the same time period.

That 100ºF in McAllen is the first this year at an official recording site in the US.

It’s always amazes me the range of temps Texas has on certain days. Up here it was 53 for a high, almost a 50 degree difference between the 100 that was registered in McAllen. That’s crazy.

Made it down to 31 so far, before I had to leave the house. Possibly another light freeze tonight/tomorrow morning.

You have nothing to complain about, Portastorm. I brought you winter weather, as I promised. You knew this was coming...

Does that mean DFW will be wet and below normal because we didn’t get the winter weather we were promised? :)

Per GFS and Eur ensembles, we may touch 80 within the next couple weeks but no particular ay has a mean over 75. Rains return by late this week. Wish we could get another cold spell but I sure will take these below average temps and above average rains assuming it continues into April.

Yes you did deliver the winter goods and now I must accept our (warm) fate.

+5.7F for March so far at DFW almost mid month. Rainfall is -1.18" below normal. The very -NAO has been great in the northeast US. For us, it has been a dud first half of this month.

Euro has backed off the weekend heat wave at DFW and now shows Friday at 82 and 70's for the rest of the weekend. The EPS is 80/74/77 and really no signs of sustained heat over the next two weeks but we should see increasing chances of rain.
