Technically, it is already past 00z June 1 in model land. The 3k NAM and Texas Tech firing storms along the front Saturday afternoon. There is huge CAPE in place so possibly some svr downdrafts and brief large hail. It is all up to timing and daytime heating, we need to reach the free convection surface temp to fire storms.
