It's unfortunate that this storm couldn't cover everyone, but it's a good consolation prize for us being hit by it. It also makes up for the storms that dropped some big hail that missed me just to the east and the storm an hour or so later that literally died on my doorstep lol.

Glory, it's a downpour in N Fort Worth finally. Satellite is out for the first time in months.

Looks like it is BARELY getting the airport, so they should get some as well.

I will add to my .05 total...

Radar estimates show 1.5 inches has fallen at my house. Wouldn't surprise me.

Good grief. Got .50 in 10 minutes. This rain is insane. My radar station says 3.59 in/hr rate.

We have quite a few small branches down here, 3 of are lawn chairs were pushed, the 4th one got knocked over and folded in on itself. Nothing crazy.

One of my neighbors has a very large tree branch down, I got a picture of it, but I'm going to go talk with them tomorrow to get a better picture of it. The branch looked like the size of a small tree.

I wish we could go back to the days where we would have a 30% chance of an afternoon or evening thunderstorm almost every day during the summer like how I remember it being growing up in Texas. Seems like we either get a flood or a drought these days.

The return of the bowling ball lows rolling across Texas?

It will probably take some time for the background state to fully breakdown but it is clear that things are changing. We should see more cutoffs coming out of the SW as we head into the Fall vs. the positive tilted troughs that plagued us last winter. Texas sees a lot more positive tilted troughs during La Nina years and that is one of the reasons almost all McFarland signature events occur during La Ninas. Hopefully, the AMO taking on a more negative look will also help us out and prevent a true long term drought from setting up this summer.

Are you saying you wanted those storms that dropped the big hail?

San Antonio and the Hill Country missed out on any good rain from Harvey last year and now this event. Much below normal rainfall and increasing drought conditions there. Not good at all with summer just getting started...

The Edwards Aquifer is dropping quick and SA will be in stage 3 water restrictions (can only water every other week) soon if this dry pattern persists.

In theory, the emerging -AMO/neutral PDO should be a positive for S. Texas moving forward, esp. with an emerging nino. Now, let's see if that actually works out in the real world lol

Hey everyone ... Happy Summer Solstice! The days start getting shorter after today as we begin our slow walk into Fall and Winter. Wxman57's "time" will soon begin its slow demise. :D

Ah, but summer is only beginning! Looking forward to summer continuing through at least next December.

I've measured about 3 inches of rain since last Friday. An inch yesterday and Tuesday.
