And so it begins. Radar starting to reflect, front is through most of DFW with temperatures falling. They will continue to fall until we are in the 40s and stays there. Dust off those jackets and sweaters.

The front came through earlier this afternoon. North wind is howling and it’s currently 45 with a windchill of 38.

Back home in KS it's snowing today. I don't recall snow like this growing up this early. I do recall trick-or-treating in the snow once. Otherwise, I hope this is a harbinger for snow here in DFW. I would build my own snowmaking machine if I wouldn't tick off the neighbors.

In addition to all of the other cold records being set, this will also be the earliest date that DFW has had a high below 50 degrees with our high of 49 occurring at Midnight. The old record was October 22nd, and we're likely to repeat below 50 degrees again tomorrow. Crazy!
