Preliminary but DFW so far today has picked up 2.19"+ as of the last reading. Over 6" now for the month of October. Couple that with September and to date is the second wettest Fall on record if it ended today with well over 18.70"+. The second wettest Fall is 18.11" back in 1981. 2015 holds the record for wettest fall at 21.82" which looks like it will be beat in the coming days.

Kind of insane when the Euro and GFS both have over 8 inches of rain at DFW :double:

Very cold temperatures for mid October on the way. Some records may fall with temperatures expected to be 30 to 40 degrees below climatology this time of year. HGX and SPC have issued a Tornado Watch for Madison, Houston and Trinity Counties in SE Texas.

Earlier someone posted the Euro not agreeing with the GFS on temps. Well, the map showed 850 temps being above normal. The cold air coming down is extremely shallow. Winds remain out of the SE at the 850 level.

Looks like the GFS has another pretty good front late next weekend.

Crazy flooding overnight for our neighbors in College Station, Bedias, Navasota and on E into Huntsville and portions of Trinity County. 5-9 inches of rain fell. The strong Fall Front is heading S and has passed Amarillo and is near Lubbock. Freezing rain/drizzle mixed with snow is likely later today. Currently Denver is reporting snow and 20F. It is worth noting that Canada now has more snow on the ground then Siberia and Eurasia! Maybe this is a harbinger of things to come as Winter approaches. We will see.

FWD sounding this morning, looks to be double capped

Probably will be some severe weather today across North Texas.

I think FWD hacked the 12z Euro to make sure it matched up with their forecast graphic from 5:30am this morning!
