Tornado watch seems unnecessary, as the one tornadic storm will just be part of the line soon. But, brief spin-ups would still be possible.

Will be concerned with anything ahead that forms this afternoon, but that would likely be east of DFW.

Looks like we are heading into a dull period with little chance for rain over the next 10 days. Hope the stormy pattern will resume in June.

I think in a synoptic scale it might not look too promising for large term forcing. But luckily for us, with monster Southeast heat dome we will be on the side of return flow from the Gulf. I wouldn't count out afternoon summer-like showers for locales.

Usually it is the opposite. The heat dome starts to settle over Texas and the southwest and southeast gets their monsoonal summer rains.

DFW hasn't hit 90 yet in May. Places in Alabama/Georgia/South Carolina could be over 100 before the two weeks is over.

Yea, lol but who knows. Some CAMs plow the line through DFW while others kind of have it break up and take on more of a northward motion leaving the tail across DFW with new cells firing and training across the area.

A bit surprised we haven't seen a couple of tor warnings in the past 30min, storm relative helicity is increasing out in front of the line and have seen a few brief hooks on radar. Embedded QLCS spin ups are hard to get any advanced warning on a lot of times.

Looks like the line will make it through DFW intact?

Just started pouring like mad in north Fort Worth.

Not one severe warned storm.

Getting pretty darn windy I will say, more so than many warned storms I have seen. Northern end seems to be changing a bit on radar. May not go all the way through here. Almost to front edge again.

Southern end of this system isn't showing much promise. Hasn't rain at all here at the house, just a slight drizzle here and there. Can here thunder far off in the distance but its all north of I-30.

Looks like Denton, Collin and Tarrant counties are out of the woods on significant severe weather. Anywhere ahead of that southern part of the line -from Aledo south, and points east of there are still fair game, and the latest spc outlook reflects this.

It’s a little weird seeing it so dark just to my north while the sun tries to peak out overhead in downtown Dallas.

Any severe weather will be further east Tx and maybe SE Tx. Just humid here in SW Tarrant, hopefully the southern ends gets a little better before it passes Tarrant.

Started hailing, and they issued a warning for me. Luckily pretty small.

Clouds looked awesome as the storm lined moved in, but then the heavest part jumped north and moved across DTN FTW just giving me a quick moderate rain, nothing very heavy, little to no thunder at all.
